Domestic Partnership

EIT is open to external exchanges and cooperation: it has signed strategic cooperation agreements in people cultivation, resource sharing, research partnerships, technology transfer, with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Ningbo University, Yongjiang Laboratory, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Westlake University and other higher education institutions, research institutes, etc. These in-depth strategic partnerships are bound to complement each party with each other’s specialized expertise and resources.

Currently, EIT and Shanghai Jiao Tong University have signed an agreement for a joint PhD program (enrollment starting from academic year of 2022).

Global Engagement

As a high-level university going global, EIT is destined to tell the story of Chinese higher education reform to the world with a highly reputable brain bank;
, especially in the time when China gradually leads the world to build a community with a shared future for mankind. EIT is exploring diversified partnership programs, with international first-class universities, scientific research institutes, international academic organizations, innovative enterprises, multinational corporations, international organizations, foundations, governments, media, and other kinds of entities, which range from joint degree programs, cross-border joint projects, university-enterprise cooperative projects, to industrial internship projects, etc. The collaborative programs are targeted at key areas with strategic significance to societies and the nation, all-round people cultivation, or universal scientific challenges.

Currently, EIT is engaging with the University of Warwick for a potential project.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan

EIT has consistently maintained robust engagement with the authorities, education agencies, and various sectors of society in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. A comprehensive educational collaboration framework has been established, fostering the development of joint programs, on-the-job faculty training projects, education policy consultations, and educational research projects, among others.

In October 2022, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between EIT and the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI). Additionally, EIT has established a joint PhD program with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
