Shen Min said that Ningbo was sparing no effort to promote “the six major changes”, build itself into “a city of global smart manufacturing and innovation, international open hub, oriental coastal fashion, national civilization model, urban and rural happiness and prosperity, and first-class smart governance” and accelerate the construction of modern coastal metropolis. All of these urgently needed the support of colleges and universities, academicians and experts. The Academician Huang Wei gave a special report—Future industry: Flexible electronics--Cultivate the root technology, and build a carbon valley in China. The report further analyzed the opportunities and challenges of the development of flexible electronics industry in China, and conducted pathway analysis on talent support, R&D focus, strategic guidance, enterprise dominance, etc.

The Academician Hu Chunhong gave a special report--Ecological protection and water and sand changes in the Yellow River Basin. The report elaborated the evolution of the mechanism of water and sand runoff yield and confluence and sand runoff yield and transportation in the Yellow River, the multi-factor contribution rate and coupling effect of water and sand changes, the prediction and collective evaluation of water and sand change trends, the evolution law of extreme rainstorm, flood and sand, the sand volume in the future, and the threshold system of water and sand regulation, providing corresponding control countermeasures.

The Academician Chen Chun gave a special report--Real-time intelligent processing technology of time sequence big data stream (graphs) and the application of cyberspace security. The report further elaborated real-time calculation and intelligent decision-making of time sequence big data stream, real-time calculation and intelligent decision-making of time sequence dynamic graphs, demonstrating typical application cases in the field of network security.
