Research Focus
Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering
Design and develop first-class disciplines of mechanical engineering and mechanics, with emphasis on robotics, intelligent manufacturing, theoretical and applied mechanics, aerospace, etc.
Energy Science and Engineering
Design and develop first-class disciplines of environmental science & engineering, civil engineering, architecture, with emphasis on civil engineering, environmental engineering, marine engineering, etc.
Biomedical Engineering
Design and develop the first-class discipline of biomedical engineering, with emphasis on biomedical engineering and technology, biomedical instruments, medical imaging, etc.
Material Science and Chemical Engineering
Design and develop first-class disciplines of material science & engineering, and chemical engineering & technology, with emphasis on advanced materials, nanotechnology, material analysis and testing, chemical engineering, etc.
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Plan and build environmental science and engineering, civil engineering and architecture, and prioritize the development of civil engineering, environmental engineering, marine engineering, etc.
